Erigeron philadelphicus

Common name: Philadelphia Fleabane
Family: Asteraceae
Size: up to 70 cm tall
Description:  Upright, hairy, slender








































































Flower:

  • 2.5 cm across
  • Ray flowers: white, threadlike, numerous
  • Disk flower: many, yellow
  • Head solitary at the end of  branch
  • 3-35 heads in a terminal cluster






































Leaves and stem:
  • Leaves up to 20 cm long
  • Basal leaves: long stalked, oblanceolate to obovate, margins crenate to serrate
  • Upper leaves: Stalkless oblanceolate to lanceolate, blade bases clasping
  • Stem: simple, erect-grooved.
