Erodium texanum

Common name: Texas Storksbill, Stork's Bill, Pine needle, Fillaree
Family: Geraniaceae - Geranium family
Size:  Up to 50 cm long
Description:  Low, branches lying flat and elongates during flowering





































Flower:

  • Up to 3 cm across
  • 5 purplish petals
Inflorescence:
  • 1-3 florets, umbel, from leaf axil
  • Sensitive to light

  • Stem branched from base
  • Reddish stems
  • Leaves up to 5 cm long
  • Opposite or alternate
  • Long stalked
  • Reticulate venation
  • Parted margins
