Oxalis violacea

Common name: Violet wood sorrel
Family: Oxalidaceae
Size: Up to 40 cm tall

Description: Low but erect, somewhat thick and fleshy


























Flower:
  • Lavender to violet-rose, dark pink color
  • 5 petals
  • 4-19 flowers in a cluster at tip of leafless stalk
  • Light sensitive

























Leaves and Stem:
  • Long-stalked leaves
  • Leaf has 3 leaflets heart-shaped
  • It spreads by runners from its bulbs
